We provide AI-powered book translation services.

Our website allows users to upload books for AI-powered translation.

By using our service, you agree to these terms.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.
• By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

Your content remains yours.

• You retain full rights to your original content.
• We claim no ownership, copyright, or other intellectual property right over your uploaded books or the translations we produce.
• We place no restrictions on what you do with your translations and take no royalties or share of any revenue. Any use you make of them is your own responsibility, limited only by what is legal for you to do, and we accept no liability for how you use them.
• Attribution to us is never required. You are allowed to credit the service but not expected to do us anywhere.

We provide you with your translation; you're responsible for what happens to it afterwards.

• You must have the legal right to upload and translate the book.
• You are solely responsible for the content you upload and what happens to the translation made with our service.
• Any translation you choose to publish is under your sole responsibility.
• You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from your uploaded content or published translations.
• Documents inciting to violence, hate speech, racial discrimination are not allowed on our service.

We only keep your data as long as there's legitimate use for it.

• We store your email address for up to 3 years after your last interaction.
• We store your uploaded files and translations for up to a month.
• These data is automatically deleted after their expiry.

We only share your data with the trusted service providers necessary to deliver, study and improve our service, taking extra care to protect your books.

• We do not sell your information to third parties.
• We may use small samples of translations to study and improve our service, only with tools that maintain strong privacy standards, do not train AI on the content, and do not sell the data.
• We use Datalab for OCR processing, with their zero data retention policy.
• We use the industry-standard OpenRouter for running the AI models, with no logging and restricting only to providers that do not train on your content as stated by OpenRouter.
• We use Stripe for secure payment processing (which includes your email address).
• We use Sentry and Laravel Nightwatch for error monitoring.
• We use the privacy-focused analytics service Plausible Analytics.
• We use Datafast for traffic attribution.

We guarantee you'll receive a working translated file, or we'll refund you.

• We guarantee that you will receive a working file in the target language that can be opened and read in standard document viewers.
• If we fail to deliver a working translated file, you will receive a full refund.
• To request a refund, please contact us via our contact page with details of the issue.
• Refunds will be processed within 14 days to your original payment method.
• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our own discretion.

AI translation is powerful but not perfect.

• While we strive for high-quality translations, we do not guarantee 100% accuracy or perfection.
• Translation quality may vary depending on the source material and language pair.
• We recommend reviewing translations for critical or professional use.

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the translation.

• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific translation that gave rise to the claim.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including any legal claims related to copyright infringement or intellectual property disputes arising from your use of the translations.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to translate and publish the content, and we cannot be held liable for any resulting legal issues.
• Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain types of damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

We aim to keep our service running smoothly, but occasional interruptions may occur.

• While we strive for high uptime, the service is provided "as available" and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
• We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

These terms are governed by French law.

• These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France.
• Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
• Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights under applicable French or European Union law.

We may update these terms from time to time.

• We may update these terms to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements.

Either party may terminate access at any time.

• You may stop using the service at any time.
